In previous courses, dozens of students from the IES Politécnico have carried out practical training in European companies for several months in countries such as Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Malta, Italy, Poland, …

Currently and until the month of June 2020 for students in both 1st and 2nd year of any training cycle, the deadline for submitting applications for the selection of students who are studying Middle Grade (New!) And Higher Grade and you want to do an internship in a company or entity in a country of the EU European Union with the help (scholarship) of the Erasmus + Program during the academic year 2020-21 and 2021-22.

The students of the Middle Degree have hardly had the possibility of mobility in previous courses, but they can do so from 2019-2020 after the approval of the corresponding project along with the Higher Degree.

The practices in the EU subject to Erasmus + Aid can be in one of these 2 modalities:

  1. Completing the last module FCT with practical training  in a work place in a company (90 days) or 
  2. (New!) Carrying out practical activities in a company that is related to the training cycle in the summer holidays between the first and second year or during the first year after to get the certificate.

Thanks to the Erasmus + Project of the Polytechnic IES, the participating students can enjoy aid of between 500 and 700 € / month for Higher Degree (approximately, depending on the country) and a considerably greater amount for Medium Degree. This aid is received by students in more than 2/3 of the total at the beginning of their trip and the rest at the end.

SELECTION PROCESS

To have access to the program, the interested students must:

  • be highly motivated to enrich yourself with experience and a strong prior commitment;
  • have a good academic record;
  • successfully complete a language proficiency test;
  • and carry out a personal interview and a personality and competence test.

The language test consists of a personal interview with language teachers at our center about the professional profile of the interested party and their motivations and expectations in their possible stay abroad; it is done in English or French or in the language of the internship country to which you intend to attend. The necessary level must be in accordance with the requirements of the company / entity in which the students will take their practical training at the FCT or carry out their work activity related to the training cycle within the year following having obtained the title of Technician.

It is not decisive, but it is valuable. If necessary, language and cultural training will be completed with an intensive course, prior to mobility, at little cost to students.

Mainly in October of each course the final selection tests and interviews are carried out to enjoy one of the Erasmus + programs, so if you are interested, in addition to informing yourself in the email of the Erasmus Department erasmus@iespolitecnico.es, it would be very good that you reinforce your knowledge in languages.

The interested student can search for their own company / entity in the place they deem appropriate in any EU country and / or, in the case of the FCT, wait for the center to find one within its network of contacts.
